This piece is inspired by the pink dolphin, also known as the Amazon River dolphin or boto. It is a fascinating aquatic mammal native to the Amazon River basin.

These dolphins are notable for their unique pink hue, which is a result of blood vessels near the skin's surface. Unfortunately, pink dolphins face numerous threats, making them endangered.

Habitat loss due to deforestation, water pollution from agricultural runoff and mining, and accidental entanglement in fishing nets are some of the primary reasons for their endangerment. Conservation efforts are crucial to protect these charismatic creatures and their fragile aquatic ecosystems.
