Inspired by the purplish-mantled tanager, a strikingly beautiful bird native to the Andes of South America. Its vivid plumage features a purplish-blue crown and mantle, contrasting with a yellow underbelly.

Unfortunately, these exquisite birds are facing significant threats to their survival. Deforestation, habitat loss due to agricultural expansion, and illegal capture for the pet trade have all contributed to the decline in their populations. Additionally, climate change is altering the tanager's montane forest habitats, putting further pressure on their existence.

Conservation efforts are crucial to safeguard this species and preserve the rich biodiversity of the Andean cloud forests.
